Media Wall – Zilo London

When Zilo set out to create a focal point for its new Canary Wharf office, the brief was clear a freestanding media wall that would become the heart of the workspace. A statement piece for town hall meetings, internal presentations and client events, combining design impact with technical integration.

This project centred around the design and manufacture of a bespoke media wall for a corporate environment, where the requirement was for a clean, architectural solution capable of integrating AV technology without compromising the overall interior design.

Design-Led was appointed as the furniture design and manufacturing partner, responsible for translating the project brief into a fully integrated AV media wall furniture solution that aligned with the architectural intent, fit-out requirements, and long-term use of the space.

The brief called for a feature media wall that would:

• Act as a focal point within the space

• Integrate large-format display technology seamlessly

• Conceal AV equipment, cabling, and infrastructure

• Maintain a clean, professional aesthetic suitable for a corporate environment

• Align with surrounding architectural finishes and detailing

The media wall needed to function as part of the building fabric rather than appearing as an applied AV installation, requiring close coordination between furniture design, AV integration, and the wider fit-out.

In response to the brief, the media wall was developed as bespoke architectural furniture, proportioned and detailed to integrate naturally within the interior.

The design prioritised:

• Clean lines and balanced proportions

• Discreet access to AV components

• Hidden cable management and service routes

• Compatibility with current and future AV systems

By designing the media wall as a furniture element rather than a technology enclosure, the solution maintains visual clarity while fully supporting the technical requirements of the space.
