MATERIAL SUSBSTAINABILITY & ENVIRONMENT

Supporting BREEAM, LEED and SKA project requirements

Sustainability is no longer a separate consideration within workplace design. It is now a core part of how materials are specified, justified and documented.

Design-Led supports design teams, fit-out contractors and project teams by ensuring our core wood-based materials, including standard melamine-faced boards and sheet materials, are sourced through audited and certified supply chain partners.

This gives clients confidence that the AV furniture, media walls, credenzas and integrated workplace furniture being specified are supported by the documentation required for environmental compliance, client reporting and project accreditation.

Where required, we can provide supporting material information for project records, including certification details, chain-of-custody documentation and supplier environmental management evidence.

Responsible Material Sourcing

Our primary board and sheet material partners operate with recognised timber certification standards, including FSC and PEFC certification.

This supports responsible sourcing, material traceability and the use of timber products linked back to sustainably managed forests.

For project teams, this means our furniture and technology-integrated products can be specified with greater confidence where material provenance, environmental responsibility and responsible procurement are being assessed.

Environmental Management

Our core sheet materials are sourced through supply chain partners operating under externally audited ISO 14001 environmental management frameworks.

This provides assurance that environmental performance is being actively monitored, reviewed and improved across the manufacturing and supply process.

It also helps support wider project goals around responsible procurement, embodied carbon awareness and Scope 3 supply chain considerations.

Future Ready Compliance

Environmental regulations around timber and wood-based products continue to tighten.

Our suppliers are actively updating their due diligence processes in line with emerging regulatory requirements, including the EU Deforestation Regulation. This helps protect future projects from avoidable material compliance risks and gives clients greater confidence in the long-term suitability of the products being specified.

Designed for Compliant, Responsible Projects
